FLORIDA - On Saturday, thousands of Americans are expected to participate in the "No Kings" protests across the country, including more than 80 events scheduled in Florida.

The demonstrations are organized to express opposition to the Trump administration’s policies, including immigration enforcement actions, National Guard deployments, and other federal measures.

Organizers of the movement report that the October events follow a June 14th protest that involved over 5 million participants at more than 2,100 locations nationwide.

The upcoming events are expected to include marches, rallies, and gatherings in cities such as Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and dozens of smaller Florida communities.

The "No Kings" website advises participants to follow local laws, avoid bringing weapons, and de-escalate any confrontations with law enforcement or counter-protesters.

Florida law protects protests under the First Amendment but imposes certain restrictions.

Demonstrations are prohibited within 500 feet of residences, funeral services, cemeteries, or places of worship when ceremonies are occurring.

The state also enforces the HALO Law, which requires individuals to maintain a 25-foot distance from first responders when requested.

Authorities have emphasized that participants must comply with these rules to avoid penalties for rioting or obstruction.

Protests in Florida are scheduled throughout the day at various public locations, including city halls, parks, overpasses, and intersections, with times ranging from early morning to late afternoon.

Participants are expected to act peacefully while exercising their right to assemble.
