The Florida Department of Health is confirming a 20th case of a rare and deadly flesh-eating bacteria, this time in Martin County. It's the first case in the area, but there have been cases confirmed in Broward and Miami-Dade.
Vibrio Vulnificus is blamed for five deaths in Florida this year.
The CDC says the infections come from the consumption of raw or undercooked shellfish, especially oysters, or open wounds that become infected if exposed to salt or brackish water containing the bacteria.
