Florida Tourism Sets Record With 34.4 Million Visitors In Q2 2025

Tallahassee, FL - Florida’s tourism industry reached a historic milestone in the second quarter of 2025, welcoming a record 34.4 million visitors.

This represents the highest Q2 visitation in the state’s history and underscores Florida’s continued appeal as a top travel destination in the United States.

Domestic travelers accounted for the majority of visitors, representing 91.5% of the total with approximately 31.5 million Americans traveling to the state.

International tourism also showed notable growth, with overseas visitors increasing 11.4% compared to the same quarter in 2024, reaching 2.3 million.

Canadian visitors contributed an additional 640,000 arrivals.

Governor Ron DeSantis highlighted the milestone, noting Florida’s attractions, amenities, and public safety measures as key factors drawing visitors.

Bryan Griffin, President and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA, added that the state’s tourism infrastructure and family-focused offerings continue to support growth.

VISIT FLORIDA’s Q2 2025 data shows domestic air travel made up 37.7% of trips, with non-air travel comprising 62.3%.

Florida’s 19 commercial airports handled 28.6 million enplanements, with Punta Gorda Airport experiencing a 22.5% increase and St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport up 14% compared with Q2 2024.

Hotel room demand across the state rose 1.2%, reflecting steady growth in tourism-related services and accommodations.

The record visitation demonstrates that Florida remains a major destination for both domestic and international travelers.

These figures highlight the state’s ability to attract millions of visitors while maintaining infrastructure and services to support tourism year-round.
