A day after Miami-Dade's mayor releases her 13-billion-dollar budget proposal, the sheriff is going off on projected cuts. Rosie Cordero-Stutz says she requested a fourteen-percent increase and may only get an eight percent one since the county is 402 million in the red. She says this directly affects the department's ability to respond to large-scale events like the upcoming World Cup. A final vote will be taken in September before the budget takes effect October First.
