Roe v Wade is Gone, But Abortion Cases Continue in Florida Courts

TALLAHASSEE -- Roe v. Wade is gone, and the U.S. Supreme Court says the U.S. Constitution doesn't guarantee the right to an abortion, throwing the matter back to the states.

State court is where one such battle will play out Monday.

A Leon County circuit judge will hear arguments as Planned Parenthood sues to stop a new Florida abortion law from taking effect Friday. The group is expected to argue that the state Constitution gives its own protection to abortion rights.

The hearing starts at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern).
