The Miami-Dade School Board holding a special meeting this morning to discuss the specifics of the safe reopening of schools plan. Board member Dr. Martin Karp says it's a very emotional and difficult discussion, but he says every opinion will be taken into consideration. He says Miami-Dade is a school district of choice, meaning no student or teacher will be forced to return and can finish the school year on-line. Superintendent Alberto Carvalho is recommending an October 5th start date. Broward's school reopening workshop is set for tomorrow.
