Palm Beach County Setting Saturday Appointments For 2 Test Sites

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County says the volume of calls for testing at its West Palm Beach site has been reduced, so callers may experience shorter wait times.

2,000 test kits were received at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches Thursday, just over 500 patients were tested for COVID-19. Another 500 appointments were scheduled for Friday and the hotline reopens at 8 a.m. to schedule around 570 appointments for testing that will take place on Saturday. The number is 561-642-1000.

At the South County Civic Center, another 235 patients were tested Thursday and the Cleveland Clinic scheduled over 250 appointments for Friday.

Appointments for testing at the site, west of Delray Beach, can be made at 561-804-0250.

All patients must call to be screened and confirm an appointment time for both sites.

The county is running a walk-up site in Belle Glade. It's going on from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Primary Care Clinic at Lakeside Medical Center.

Anyone with symptoms of the coronavirus can walk up and see a provider for screening and if they are determined to be a candidate for screening, they'll be registered on site and tested.
