An Orlando police officer is on suspension while being investigated for arresting 6 and 8-year-old children last week.
Officer Dennis Turner was working as a School Resource Officer at a charter school when he arrested the children in separate incidents.
Orlando's police chief says Turner didn't follow proper protocol and ask a watch commander for permission to arrest a person under 12.
The 8-year-old was processed at the Juvenile Assessment Center and released to family. The grandmother of the 6-year-old says the child was just having a temper tantrum when she was arrested.
