Bradenton and Palmetto 4th of July Fireworks Postponed Until Labor Day

Growing up in Manatee County, the Palmetto-Bradenton fireworks show was everything to us!!!! I know this holiday is about our independence as a country but, without the fireworks show, did the 4th of July even happen?!?!

First Manatee County postponed the annual fireworks, and now they have agreed to move the show to Labor Day, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.

These fireworks light up the sky and unite two communities across the Manatee River via the Green Bridge.

Alright.....now that I've calmed down, this is the right call. This is not only the right call for the health and safety of not only the citizens but the first responders, law enforcement and health-car workers who are already overworked and underpaid.

I think we can all agree that it is time for COVID-19 to GO AWAY!!

Here's the full article from the Bradenton Herald.
