Music Compound is excited to offer online lessons for current and future members. On Monday, the executive team transformed their business model within 24 hours to an online music school. In the past, Music Compound provided in person music lessons for all ages. Due to the virus, all services are now available online in the comfort of your home. Many members have requested this service in the past but it was not an option due to the core mission of the company. The unique model allowed music lovers to collaborate in person with others and have a stage to showcase skills learned. “I am very excited to create a new business model overnight and enhance our services. I believe this opportunity will allow us to develop new revenue streams and extend our market share.” said, Jenny Townsend, owner of Music Compound.
Jenny is committed to keeping her twenty-five instructors working. She did have to let five part time employees go this past week. Part timers include administrative staff that worked the front desk greeting members (15 hours per week) and high school students working in the music lounge (2-3 hours a day). Additional staff were hired last year to train and prepare for the company’s expansion to Lakewood Ranch. Plans to open the Lakewood ranch facility this summer have been postponed due to the virus.
