Homecoming Queen Gives Crown to Special Needs Student

At a high school in Sadler, Texas there are two seniors who have the title of homecoming queen this year. Trinity Arrington and Emily Petty were both nominated and when Trinity’s name was announced, she did something unexpected: she gave her crown to her friend Emily, who has special needs.

The girls became buddies when Trinity spent time in the special education classroom and she knew how much Emily has “always wanted to be a princess,” so she is sharing the title with her. They held hands and waved at the crowd together during homecoming and both had fun.

“We got to be it together, I think that was the best part for me,” Trinity says. “She deserved it and it made her happy.”

How awesome is this? In the world of selfies, "Look at me", and social media bragging, this young lady shared the spotlight with someone else and impacted her life. Trinity....you've now been crowed the Queen of Kindness here at WSRZ and that's your GOOD NEWS, BABY.
