'Lazy Boyz' Lemonade Stand Lifts Spirits and Raises Cash

I stumbled upon a YouTube channel called “Lazy Boyz Commentary” while watching Bachelorette recap videos. Connor, Austin and Jordan are college students in Kansas City, Missouri and they have been friends since the 2nd grade. They do videos on all kinds of things, but their message in general is to spread positivity and make people laugh.

Recently, they set up a "Self Love Lemonade" stand....a pop-up of positivity if you will! Basically, all you had to do to get FREE lemonade is say one thing you love about yourself. They wanted to make an impact locally but also bring awareness to mental health issues we have today.

Mental health is something that we truly need to pay more attention to, and it starts with YOURSELF. Our own thoughts, the things we say about ourselves, self-talk, all of these affect our state of mind and happiness. While positive self-talk is not a cure all for your mental health…..but it is a start. We’ve got to start taking care of OURSELVES before we try to help others.

With so much garbage and hate online, it is great to see these young men doing something good! Not only did they make a difference in their community, but by sharing it online it has sparked a ripple effect beyond their state lines. They plan on doing the "Self Love Lemonade" stand again and I wish them the best of luck!

SIDE NOTE: they had a jar out to collect some money for Children’s Mercy and in a few hours they also raised a $100!

So…. I challenge each of you to say one positive thing about yourself right now. Make it part of your daily routine. Connor, Austin and Jordan…..you guys are anything but "Lazy"! You rock, thank you for making us all smile, I look forward to more videos and that’s your good news, baby!
