Homeless Man's Act of Kindness in Subway Sparks More Good Deeds

Normally terrible weather can make for a terrible morning, but one man in New York City brought a little sunshine on this rainy day. Zahir McDonald is a homeless man that frequents in the Bedford Avenue subway in Brooklyn, NY. During a recent storm, the subway became flooded in high-traffic area near a stairway. Zahir placed a 2x4 plank in the water, and assisted passengers as they walked the little balance beam to stay dry. Not only did he do this all morning, but he would move it back and forth depending on which side of the stairs a commuter was using.

His act of kindness was captured on video and went viral. To give back, a GoFund me account was set up and has exceeded the original goal of $5,000.

I hope this inspires you to be KIND....and that's your GOOD NEWS, BABY!
