71-Year-Old Granny Finds 2.63 Carat Diamond at a Park

A day at the park led to an extremely valuable discovery for a 71-year-old grandmother. She was only ten minutes in to her visit at the Crater of Diamonds Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas when it happened. While scraping some dirt away she saw a rock resembling glass that was the size of a pinto bean. Turns out, it wasn't glass.... it was a 2.63-carat ice white diamond! This was the biggest discovery ever found on park grounds and that is over a span of 46 years. Since 1972, around 33,000 diamonds have been found by park visitors but no one has beat the size of bling that granny found.

WOW....normally I'm not a big fan of outdoorsy activities, but this is one I could handle!

Congratulations, Grandma! That's your GOOD NEWS, BABY!
