Sarasota resident, Shane Hale, just wanted to sail to the Keys with his dog, Harley. The pair have been best friends for five years and set sail on Saturday. However, during the trip they ran in to a terrible storm. The storm slammed Hale and his boat and eventually tossed his beloved dog overboard. Hale thought his dog was gone forever. However, Harley, had other plans. The pup swam three miles to shore where people not only found him but were able to contact his owner. Check out the video below to see the reunion!
