After over 100 years, Barnum's Animals Crackers redesigned their packaging. The front of the new box shows the animals free of cages. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) protested for over 30 years calling for freedom on the box front. This change is on the heels of Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus shutting down for good last year. PETA was a driving factor in the removal of elephants from the show in 2016 and now they have freed the animals on the box too! The new version of Barnum's Animals Crackers is on shelves now in the United States.
