What's a "Baby Classic" you ask? It's a mega-hit that has just recently been birthed into "classic hits" status (a.k.a. 25+ years old!)
This week's birth is a doozie.... we are having quadruplets! Bouncing baby BOYZ II Men!
Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" reached #1 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, in July of 1992 and dominated for 13 weeks. It was originally released on the soundtrack to "Boomerang" and was released again on Boyz II Men's album "Cooleyhighharmony". "End of the Road" went on to become 1992's #1 song and also landed on Billboards Top 100 Songs of all time.
Other things that happened this week in 1992:
Movies: "3 Ninjas", "Unforgiven", "Raising Cain"
History: In August 1992, hurricane Andrew had winds around 165 miles per hour and gusts over 200 mile per hour causing almost $35 billion in damage and it was the costliest hurricane in U.S. history at that point in time. The storm destroyed tens of thousands of homes and caused over 60 deaths.
