BABY CLASSIC: You Have Nothing, Without This Hit

What's a "Baby Classic" you ask? It's a mega-hit that has just recently been birthed into "classic hits" status (a.k.a. 25+ years old!)

The week's BABY CLASSIC is:

Whitney Houston, "I Have Nothing" (1993)

This song reached #1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart the week of April 4th 1993.  It also made Whitney Houston the first artist to have three songs inside the top 11 of the Hot 100 charts in the same week. "I Will Always Love You", "I Am Every Woman", and "I Have Nothing". This was the 2nd #1 single off the epic movie soundtrack from 'The Bodyguard', also starring Whitney Houston.

Other things that happened 25 years ago this week (1993):

  • Pop Culture: Construction began on Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
  • Fun Fact: US Post Office issued the first stamp honoring Elvis in 1993, and stamp collectors mailed letters with these stamps to bad addresses to have them marked "Return to Sender".

How old do you feel???
