Tattoo artists at a shop in St. Marys, Georgia have been working hard to help pay off a school district’s lunch debt. Charles Platt and other artists at Second Skin Tattoo asked the community to come out on September 13th to get inked and promised to donate half of the proceeds to Camden County Schools.
They had a line out the door and worked from 10 a.m. until past midnight to serve all the customers that day. Second Skin had a goal to raise $5,000, but blew past it and raised $7,100. And Bennett Chevrolet and Dodge kicked in $1,000, so they had a grand total of $8,100 to cover school lunch debt and help replenish the district’s emergency fund.
“We’re kind of sweethearts,” Platt says. “We all like to give back and, yeah, we like what we do. We all look rough or whatever, but we’re all just people, too.”
Don't judge a book by it's cover....this is awesome..... and TATS your GOOD NEWS, BABY!
