If you have a loved one living with dementia, you understand the pain this disease causes. To see a personal hero like your own father robbed of not only their memory, but their passions is truly heartbreaking.
There is one thing that has proven to bring memories back for some people living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia.....and that thing is MUSIC.
Nick Harvey is the son of Paul Harvey, both of which are musicians that compose music. Paul is 79-years-old and has dementia. Nick came across some sheet music of original songs that his father wrote decades ago. During a recent visit to see his father, Nick shared the musical blast from the past with him. His dad then sat down at the piano and played the song perfectly.....from memory! I love this story and that's your GOOD NEWS BABY
