IKEA USING CARDBOARD CUTOUTS TO GET PEOPLE TO ADOPT PETS WHILE SHOPPING

An Ikea store in Tempe, Arizona, has found a brilliant way to get people to adopt pets while shopping for furniture.

Cardboard cutouts of cats and dogs are displayed on furniture throughout the store – and each pet picture also features a code that customers can scan with their phones to learn more about the pet and how to adopt it.

The cutout program was designed to inspire unsuspecting shoppers who aren’t necessarily looking to get a pet, but whose minds could be changed. Now that’s sneaky
